The Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University and The Quality of Life Project produced three documentaries which constitute a series called "Shared Pathways: Collaboration and Community in Southwest Central Durham."  Watch clips from these documentaries below to learn more about our organization and the community. Face Up: Telling Stories of Community Life is a public art project that grows out of local conversations about neighborhood goals in Southwest Central Durham. The project's open approach encourages diverse participation in the enhancement of the aesthetic environment that will expand awareness of historic and contemporary persons and places. Face Up: Telling Stories of Community Life

Building Blocks is an introduction to successful housing revitalization in Southwest Central Durham. The project in this documentary is a collaboration between the neighborhoods and local nonprofits. Quality of Life, Self-Help, Habitat for Humanity, and Durham Community Land Trustees were all involved. Watch this documentary to learn about some of the things that our organization has accomplished with help from others.
